These Terms of Service govern your use of the Vriksai website and its free wood industry tools. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Vriksai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy PolicyEditorial PolicySource MethodologyAccuracy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Use of the tools

Our calculators and tools are provided free of charge for informational and professional reference purposes. You may use them for personal and commercial work. You agree not to misuse the site, including attempting to disrupt it, scraping it at scale, or republishing the tools as your own.

3. Accuracy and professional judgement

We work hard to make every calculation accurate and based on recognised standards. However, the tools provide estimates and reference figures, not certified engineering or professional advice. You are responsible for verifying results and applying professional judgement before acting on them. See our full Disclaimer.

4. Intellectual property

The Vriksai name, logo, design, written content and the tools themselves are the property of the Vriksai and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce or redistribute them without permission. You may freely use the results the tools produce for your own work.

5. Third-party trademarks

Vriksai is an independent reference site. It sells nothing, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or certified by any trademark owner named on it.

ThermoWood® is a registered trademark owned by the International ThermoWood Association (ITWA). Only permanent members of the ITWA hold the right to use that mark on thermally modified timber they produce. Vriksai is not an ITWA member and does not produce, certify or sell thermally modified timber.

Where this site names ThermoWood®, ThermoWood® Thermo-S or ThermoWood® Thermo-D, it does so to refer to that specific product and its published treatment classes, so that a reader can identify what a figure applies to. That is referential use for identification and commentary, not a claim of rights, licence, membership or approval. The generic term for the material category, as used in CEN/TS 15679, is thermally modified timber.

All other product names, brands, standards and marks appearing on this site — including Accoya®, and the standards bodies, publishers and tooling manufacturers cited in our references — are the property of their respective owners and are named for identification and citation only. No sponsorship or association is implied.

If you own a mark named here and consider its use incorrect, tell us at support@vriksai.com and we will correct or remove it promptly. We would rather fix it than argue about it.

6. Third-party content & advertising

The site displays third-party advertising through Google AdSense and may link to third-party websites. Vriksai does not control and does not endorse the content of the ads served or the sites they lead to. We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of third parties. Links and ads do not imply endorsement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vriksai and the Vriksai is not liable for any loss or damage - including loss of profit, materials, or project costs - arising from your use of, or reliance on, the tools or content. The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the site available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any tool or feature at any time without notice.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Haryana, India, except where local consumer law gives you other rights.
