Vriksai is an India-based startup — a free set of 62 precise calculators for everyone who works with wood: woodworkers, carpenters, architects, timber traders and furniture makers. We are a small independent team, building tools that make everyday wood work faster, easier and more reliable.
We are a small team based in India. We built Vriksai for people who work with wood every day — carpenters, woodworkers, architects, timber traders, furniture makers, and anyone else in the wood line.
The reason we made it is simple. People who work with wood keep doing the same maths again and again — board feet, volume, moisture, span, weight and cost. Most do it by hand, or use small online tools that are slow or give wrong answers. We thought, why not put all of these tools in one place, make them easy to use, and keep them free for everyone. That is exactly what we are doing here.

Free, forever
The tools are free with no sign-up. The tools are not paywalled and there is nothing to buy. Running costs are covered by light advertising rather than by charging the people this was built for. Ads never sit inside a result panel, and they never influence which species or tool is recommended. No accounts, no upsells, no locked features.
Rooted in real wood
This is not a generic calculator site. Every tool lives inside the wood lifecycle, connected to the species, products and standards that surround it.

About the founder
My name is Deepak Kumar, and I started Vriksai. I have done my B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, and I have spent more than 10 years working in digital marketing, website development, custom tools building and graphic design. So building websites and tools is something I know well.
The wood side is close to me too. I work at one of the biggest wood companies in India, and that is where I really learned about timber. The company brings in wood from many international sellers, processes raw timber, and supplies it to customers who need raw wood. It also runs another brand that takes this raw wood and turns it into finished things like wooden panels, ceilings and decking, along with good quality wooden furniture. Being around all of this every day, I slowly understood how wood behaves, what people in this field actually need, and where they lose time.
That is what gave me the idea. I know wood from the inside, and I also know how to build digital tools. So I decided to bring both sides together and make something genuinely useful for the people who work with wood.
Our aim
Our aim is bigger than just a few calculators. We want to build a company that gives woodworkers, architects and traders every tool they need for their daily work, all in one place. We are only at the start right now, and we are a young startup, but we truly believe this can grow into something big and helpful for people all around the world.
